If you’ve ever thought about the best way to celebrate good food, good company and good times, then look no further. National Dadgum That’s Good Day is March 1.
This might seem silly at first because the name is non-traditional, but to a lot of folks across the country, it makes sense. If you’ve ever tasted a meal and felt an overwhelming sense of “yum,” who could blame you for hollering “Dadgum! That’s good!”?
To celebrate, we put together a poll to see how far people would travel for their favorite meal. The poll revealed that 22% of the people who responded said they’d travel five miles for their favorite meal. But 36% said they’d travel 30 miles or more for their favorite meal.
While a road trip for pizza was the top choice for a meal (25%), burgers and chicken were the next highest answers with 24% each.
We also asked who you would bring with you on a road trip to your favorite restaurant, and “partner” got the most votes with 33%. “Family” was also important to bring on a road trip for your favorite meal with 32% of the answers.
As we get closer to National Dadgum That’s Good Day, it might be time to start thinking about packing up the family or your partner and heading out on the road for a trip to a distant restaurant that serves one of your favorite foods.
Relax, hit the road and Drive®!
